Strathearn Hosting was set up to give Scottish small businesses the kind of hosting they actually deserve — properly engineered, properly maintained, and properly answered when something goes wrong.
Where we come from
Strathearn Hosting is a Vistacraft venture. We are built on the exact same infrastructure discipline that runs ServeLogic (SC873950) — a multi-tenant SaaS platform serving independent restaurants and takeaways across the UK.
We are not an exciting, move-fast-and-break-things startup. We are an established engineering operation that understands what production infrastructure looks like when real businesses depend on it.
Where we're based
We are proudly based in Crieff, Perthshire. All of our dedicated servers are located in secure UK data centres. When you need support, you are speaking to the engineers who run the platform, working real business hours in UK time. No offshore support desks, and no automated chatbots.
How we think about hosting
The hosting industry has become a race to the bottom — overcrowded commodity servers competing entirely on price, leaving small businesses with slow, vulnerable sites and non-existent support.
Our philosophy is different. Our differentiator is the level of care and engineering we apply to every single site. We believe in treating client infrastructure exactly the way we treat our own, which means proactive maintenance, robust security, and absolute reliability.
How we think about security
We don't just install a security plugin and hope for the best. We have done the complex forensic work on real WordPress compromises, reverse-engineering malware to understand exactly how attackers exploit vulnerabilities.
We host with that hard-won knowledge baked in as standard. From mandatory two-factor authentication and hidden admin portals, to locking out PHP execution in upload directories and implementing strict file integrity monitoring.
